End of Summer Wreath

I made this wreath for my "end of summer" wreath.  There is a house that I drive by just about every day and the little gentleman raises sunflowers.  They are probably 6-7' tall.  They are beginning to go to seed and so, I thought, what do I have to lose except him telling me "NO"?

So, I pulled into his driveway and went to the door and ask him if I could possible buy one or two of the large sunflower heads that was going to seed?

He said no, but I could have one!!

I made this wreath fairly simple just adding in a little bit of color and some wispy thingamajigs.  I wanted the sunflower center to be the main theme of the wreath.  As you can see, the petals have already dropped off leaving just the outer rim of dried petals and the center.

LOVE IT!

Enjoy!

Till next time, Judy

  4. How sweet. And I just love this. I have to pin it so I can grow some big ones next year. Remind me okay. I have been known to share things from my front veggie garden with folks that walk by.
