It's so good to have the sun shining and the Flea Market open, a few garage sales and Estate sales also.
This is my "loot" from this week.
I found some gorgeous vintage hankerchiefs - some colorful and some all embroidered in white.
Also, a bag of lace, some crocheted potholders, a yardage of vintage fabric and some vintage silver pieces.
Got this darling tea service in silverplate.
A couple of single salt & pepper shakers.
Oh, Susan & Claudia - look what I found!! The piano actually plays "The Entertainer". Love the corner shelf and will redo the cute little chair when I figure out my colors.
These vintage framed pieces look like they are painted on the reverse side of the glass and then gold leaf added. I also found this beautiful butter dish with the glass insert.
I know I'll have trouble keeping this from Laynee's little hands. Her face, arms and legs are bone china.
The lady I bought this little dinner set from said it was Depression Glass in the Cherry pattern in Delft Blue. I haven't had the time to look it up yet. But, thought it was really sweet whether it was new or old.
The interesting thing about it is that the cherry pattern is on the bottom. The tops of the plates are solid with no pattern.
But, you always have to have one special buy and this is it. A McCoy vase with the sweetest bird design on it.
I have just started venturing into the colored pieces of McCoy. My search has always been for the cream colored and/or off white pieces. However, since I now have so much of the cream colored, I decided to start finding some pieces in colors. Love this vase. It will be really springy with bright flowers in it!
Enjoy!
Judy
Absolutely love the blue depression glass. I don't think I've ever seen this color! Beautiful. I'm always crazy about MCcoy. Great finds.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds!! I especially like the silver-plate set!
ReplyDeleteGreat new treasures. I see many that I would love to have. How cool the piano still plays.
ReplyDeleteJudy, You are so lucky with your new finds. My goodness. You must know the same Claudia that I know...as soon as I saw that little furniture I thought of her. It would be neat in her doll house. :):) Hope you have a wonderful week. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteWow - you did get a good stash!!
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to seeing your progress on the doll house - looks like you got some great additions.
Love the doll! When one of my grands showed interest in something I did not want them to, and could not move it out of hands reach, I would tell them "that is my toy" or "that will break", and they would leave it alone. Grandson did decide to shake up the miniature green house when toddler, but has not bothered anything like that since. I always had plenty of things for them to play with, so I was not considered stingy. :-D
Have a great week!
WOW, that's some good loot:) I always bring home little baby dolls for the grandgirls to play with! I am drawn to red pieces and I need to get some different colors:) Enjoy your evening dear friend, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteI love to see what other people get at sales. You sure did get a lot of nice things there. I never see anything like that around here.
