The Old Grey Mare Ain't What She Used To Be!!

Well, the move is complete.  Now, you still can't get around too fast because of all of the boxes and stuff, but all of Brenda's treasures are in her new home.  I am betting that the new home will be a showplace rather quickly.  That's just Brenda for you!  But, I must say, it was more tiring than I thought it would be.  Brenda and I are both worn out.

Her plants all survived the move wonderfully - even tho, we had to cover all of the outside plants with a tarp as we had freezing temps last night.  Today was beautiful tho and the movers were a delight and so careful with everything.  Now, it's just getting everything where she wants it.  But, like I said, knowing her, it'll be done quickly.

Did any of you see the Red Moon last night?  I was still up sewing around 2:00 a.m. and took my camera out to take a picture.....

as you can see, I'm certainly not good with that wide angle lens.  The thing is too heavy and I couldn't hold it steady.  But, trust me, the moon was blood red.  (I will practice using that lens some more - I promise).

Brenda has the internet people coming on Wednesday to hook her all up and she'll be back in business!

Enjoy!

Judy

I know when I moved last summer I could not believe how hard it was. I still have a move with Mom in about 45 days but it will be done and then we can all enjoy the rest of the summer! Hugs to you!

  9. I'm so glad everything went okay, Judy, I haven't seen a new post from Brenda. You really are a doll to have helped her but I wouldn't expect anything less from you. You are a great friend to have, And I know you must be exhausted.

I think that's a darn good picture of the red moon. I didn't see it. Can't sleep at all tonight so it would have been great a day later! Ha!

  21. Thanks for the update on Brenda's move. She must know that all her readers are cheering her on and are looking forward to the first post from her new home. Hope you both can take some time to rest up and recharge. We did not get to see the blood moon here in Northern Virginia--it was raining, sleeting, and snowing last night! I'm sure Brenda counts you as a chief blessing in her life--you are a true friend.

  25. You keep us amazed Judy! What a truly wonderful friendship you have with Brenda. If we lived anywhere near you (we reside in California) would have been there to HELP too. Thank you for being there for so many of us that follow your respective blogs. Rest please and give each other a hug from all of us. Wishing each of you a blessed Easter. Marcy

  26. The old grey mare is doing pretty good as far as I can see. Moving is hard for anyone, you are a wonderful friend to be giving Brenda so much help. I hope the estate sale goes well. Did you put it on Craig's List? You can get a ton of people that way. Hope you and John get some rest.

  27. P.S I lived in Oklahoma for a year many many years ago when my hubby was at Tinker Air Force Base. So I know what you mean about the weather. Our main home was in NY but we now reside in Florida. We moved about a year ago, and I remember how exhausted I was!
