The Stages of the Hydrangeas

Don't you just love watching the hydrangeas go thru their various stages of blooming?

I certainly do.  Each new bud is in anticipation of a gorgeous full flower.

Thanks for all of the good comments on my post about my Etsy shop.  I appreciate all of the input.

I have decided that I am going to do the grouping of items for the shop.  These will be by colors and/or themes.

Sara @ My Woodland Garden said it would be like opening a treasure box.  So, since I share with you my Saturday Treasures, I'm going to call them Saturday Treasure Boxes.

I have also decided since so many of my loyal readers love the pieces I find, that I'm going to be showing them to you all first and give you first chance.  I plan on setting a designated day of the week to show you my collections before posting them to my shop.

I am going to do this container by container so I will be working on it while the contractor is working on my house which is scheduled to start July 11th.  I don't know how much time I will have for the next month to post but will do my best.  Just know if I'm not posting, I'm working and photographing my treasures to share with you all.

I will be doing before, during and after photos of the construction.  It's going to be hectic around here.  I guess my biggest worry is that John is not here and I am having to make all of the decisions by myself and secondly, how Bella is going to handle all of these people coming in and out of her house.

Hopefully she will adjust - and me too!

Enjoy!

Judy

  2. Hi Judy,
It will be fun to have first looks at all your wonderful treasures. I am excited for you that the construction redo will start. I know it is alot while it is going on but it will be so nice in the end and so worth it. Hope little Bella handles all the excitement. Construction zones are hectic. Happy new week.

  3. You will do beautifully with all your decisions as to the house and your Etsy shop. Sounds like a great plan, my friend. I miss our talks - I'm headed home in a week and it will be much easier to find the time for a chat.

  8. Love the hydrangeas and progress of them. Mine did not do well at all, in fact everything looks terrible due to the drought. I know that everything will work out fine on your construction and Bella will hopefully get used to all the people coming and going. Can hardly wait to see your grouping of all your treasures.
Have a great week Judy = Waldo and Lili send Wolfs to Bella.

  17. I love watching hydrangeas through all their stages, too. I think even the buds are pretty! Good luck with the construction...I know it will be hard on you in many ways. Could you and Bella go somewhere else during the day, for part of the day? A relative or friend's house? Dog park? My cats always freak out when other people are in the house, especially when work is being done. But not much you can do with cats! They hide under my bed and I keep the door closed. I wish you well on your new ideas for your Etsy shop. I think it will do well!

  22. I love hydrangeas, and so many flowers it so much fun to watch them go through they stages to flowering. It's funny I'm doing that right now on two of my perennials. I can't wait for you to share your remodelling photos. It's always so much fun to go through it with you. Its stressful to make all the decisons all by yourself...but you are strong and will do good. If there's a decision to make your unsure of put it on your blog and we'll help!

  23. I have a teeny tiny yard but I have one little garden area that has five hydrangeas in it. It's my favorite spot, and I love watching all the little buds develop into gorgeous flowers! I also can't wait to see how your remodeling goes - I'm at the tail end of converting a 3-family house to a 2-family. I made all of the decisions, since my husband passed on back in 2000 so I can completely understand how you feel.

I'm really looking forward to seeing your "Saturday Treasures"! I'm hoping I see them in time to splurge on a few!

Thanks for stopping by and visiting me and leaving such a nice comment. I love hydrangeas but for some reason mine aren't doing well this summer. It's been extremely hot and dry here on the coast.
Love you Etsy shop and what a great idea to give your bloggers first look.
