New Banner and New Lamp!!


I got a new banner and a new lamp.  I have been eyeing this lamp at Michael's for quite some time.


I went in last Sunday to get a few things knowing the snow and ice were coming.  Lo and behold - the lamp was on sale for 1/2 price!!  Then, if that wasn't an encouragement enough, I had a 25% off entire order coupon.



So, I ended up with a sweet deal.  Isn't he cute?  I have alot of the soft aqua in my living room so it will fit in perfectly.

And YES, I will take the plastic off.  I had just walked in with it when I took these photos and didn't realize until I started downloading them, that the plastic was still on the shade.  Horrors!!


I love the twist on this new banner.  It is 6" squares of scrapbook paper folded into and then sewn in a continuous seam.  Can't wait to make more of these.

    Love the lamp, and the banner. Did you make the banner? My house is currently having a lot of work done and all of my crafting / decorating / everything except what I need daily is packed away! I can't wait to get my space back!

    Love your lamp and banner. That color is my new favorite color. I have a lamp in my entry way with a shade a little darker than yours and I have a metal tray a little lighter color that I want to hang.

    I love the lamp and the aqua in the shade! I will have to show this picture to my daughter. She is redecorating her bedroom and living room area and is using the colors of yellow, gray white, and aqua/teal . She also likes birds. Love the cute banner too.

    Well, of course I love the lamp..bird lover that I am. But that burlap chick has caught my heart. I love natural fabrics and began a renewed love affair with burlap when it found renewed interest a couple of years ago.
