I don't mean to rub it in but the Oklahoma weather is just beautiful. After the ice storm and snow last week, yesterday was a balmy 70 degrees. Hopefully, Spring is here.
Here is a quick and easy Easter treat. This little egg project could be used for place cards. Simply write the person's name on the egg with a Sharpie.
This is simply a vintage wooden spool with blue raffia-like string wrapped around it. Then add some green moss and an egg. I put mine on top of a small cupcake holder.
I used these one year at our Women's Spring Luncheon. Different people decorated tables and we had a wonderful program and luncheon.
The vignette above is simply the egg on a spool, a yellow ceramic birdie, a basket full of pastel colored eggs and a delightful rabbit banner.
The bunny rabbit banner came from Target for a mere $6.00.
In other great news from Tulsa, it was announced this week that we are getting a Cosco and a Trader Joe's store. I have been in neither of these but am always hearing of the good things from you bloggers about what you purchase there. Of course, they have to be built first, so it will be a while but I'll anxiously await.
Be sure and stay tuned this week. The Flea Market was fantastic on Saturday and between Friday and Saturday, I hit five wonderful Estate Sales. Can't wait to show you what I bought.
Enjoy!
Judy
The garage/estate sale season has almost started in my area, glad you got to some good ones and are having such comfortable weather too.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about the weather! It's so different from last week and the snow! I'm loving it! Love your little decorations! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThat is a cute banner from Target, Judy...and I like the little egg place card idea. Enjoy your warm weather there. We are in the 40's here and feeling REALLY LUCKY....lol xo Diana
ReplyDeleteJudy, That would make a nice place marker. I think it's very cute. My goodness what nice temps there. I too am hoping winter is behind us for this year. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie

ReplyDeleteThe egg on the spool is a cute idea!! I need some of your creativity - mine is still on vacation.
I think we hit 54 today, and will be in the 50's tomorrow. Most all of the snow and ice is gone here, except for some areas that are shaded and face the North. Glad to see it go.
Hi Judy! Oh, you're just the most creative and I love your little eggies! Now don't you rub it in with your warm weather! ;) We're still under the snow. Oh, I love Costco and Trader Joe's! Yay! You'll love them too.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
What darling pieces :) Looks like you're getting ready for Easter. It was 38 here today and felt like a heat wave. I took a walk outside for 3 miles with just a jacket on.
ReplyDeleteThe weather looks promising here this week for my area...45 tomorrow and 52 on Tues, Wed, and Thurs. I know it's not 70...but after it being below zero just last week, I'll take 40's and 50's! That bunny banner is so cute; can't believe it's from Target. Looks handmade. You will love Trader Joes! Can't tell you about Costco - I'm not a member. The closest one to me is 20 minutes away and is always packed.
ReplyDeleteOh Judy enjoy that fabulous weather. We will not see that until June in Chicago. I love Costco and Trader Joe's. So happy you are getting them near you. Have a great start to the new week ahead. Can't wait to see your treasures.

I'm so glad to hear that your weather is getting better! It sure makes is safer when you want to get out of the house and take care of business! Your little banner and Easter vignette is so cute! I was just at Costco today, love that place!! Blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteJudy...your little eggs are so cute! What a creative idea! And yes...I envy your temps although we are getting up to FIFTY this week! Ha!
ReplyDeleteI love Costco although have to say, my hubby does more. Your really have to have organizational skills and room to store bulk items. Not me. And I love Trader Joe's which is about 45 minutes away so I only stop in when I'm in that area. Fresh flowers are cheap and I love the lack of artificial ingredients in their foods. Many interesting dips and concoctions. Sometimes great deals, other time expensive. Still, I think you will like both places.
Thanks for all of your really nice comments during this crazy time in my life...just love you to pieces. :)

Your decorations are so cute, Judy! I'd love to get a Trader's Joes out our way!
ReplyDeleteWe have costco in the uk, they have some amazing bargains, electrical goods, household, food - very popular. Hope you enjoy having bulk buying available it saves a lot of time (and money)! I haven't thought about Easter yet but the idea of coloured eggs and bunny bunting is appealing!
ReplyDeleteGreat spring decor. I am not so patiently waiting for the weather in Northern Indiana to warm up. We just got a Costco. Since it's bulk AND the membership is $55 and only Terry and I are home, we don't feel it's such a bargain to join. We don't belong to Sam's Club either. I wouldn't mind being able to go into Costco to see what it has to offer, but they don't allow it. Oh Well...
ReplyDeleteLove that idea and the bunny banner is precious! Enjoy your gorgeous weather dear friend, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing what you bought at the estate sales, Judy! I miss going to them since I closed my booth.
ReplyDeleteLove your egg on a spool and your bunny banner. I finally put Spring and Easter stuff out around here. This week should be wonderful weather-wise!
Judy, you are staying busy! Love the little bunny banner! So cute. I think Spring is coming!
ReplyDeleteI love the bunny banner! I hope that you enjoy the new shopping experiences to come too! xx
ReplyDeleteThe bunny banner is so cute! Looking forward to seeing your new finds. Have a nice week!
ReplyDeleteThe spools are really cute, and that is such a cute garland from Target. I like Trader Joe's.
ReplyDeleteNow wait a minute! We had the same weather as you with the snow and ice so why didn't we get the 70's? We did have one day at 67 so I guess I can't complain. Usually I can look at your weather and know what's coming our way (North Central Arkansas).
ReplyDeleteYour spool is so sweet with the egg and what a great idea for a place setting. Lucky you getting those neat stores. I miss my Target so much and all the stores I used to go to up North. The closest Target is 2 hours away. It's just as well though since I retired I don't have as much money to spend anyway! LOL! I can't wait to see what you got at the sales!
Judy, I love the bunny banner, that's too cute, and much easier then cutting them all out and sewing them together. And I'm nuts about eggs, and that is darling.
ReplyDeleteJen
love . . . love . . . love the bunny banner - I bought a cheap wooden banner at Target so I won't be buying your cute one.
ReplyDeleteCostco is great for large families, but we are going to drop our membership. We reinstated it last summer when we were taking our kids and their significant others to Kauai. They have a Costco there so we did the shopping for the entire week at Costco much cheaper than if we had gone to a grocery store. We have only used it once here since.
Trader Joe's on the other hand is fantastic. First thing you will notice is gorgeous flowers in front of the door and then inside the store. The prices are great. We do more than half of our shopping at TJ's, but some things we still have to go to Safeway.
I love that bunny banner...looks like I'll be making a trip to Target!
ReplyDeleteLove your sweet Easter decorations, Judy. It is warming up into the 60s here for the next few days. I will be heading out in sandals. :)

Love the egg on the little spool...so sweet!! What a cute bunny banner. It has warmed up here too. The snow has melted and I heard the birds singing this morning. Can't wait to see what you got from the sales.
