In an effort to completely ignore the freezing rain, sleet and snow outside, I made a Spring wreath.
I had seen this, I believe, on Pinterest but when I went back, I couldn't find the original source again.
It is a frame from Michaels combined with a bird (again from Michaels), a nest with eggs and a banner spelling out Spring.
It was a fun project except it took forever to paint that frame because it was too cold outside to spray paint it.
But, it made me feel better anyway.
Poor Bella has not been well. She had her teeth cleaned last week and they found she had two bad teeth that were infected. So, they pulled them. They put her on an antibiotic for a week and day before yesterday, she started have bad stomach issues.
So, back we went to the Vet's. He took her off of the meds and put her on a probiotic and it seems to help. She's started eating a little.
I know so many of us that hurt so bad when our pets are not well. They are indeed part of our family.
Stay warm and safe.
Judy
PS - I finally found where I saw this wreath. It was by Leanne @ Organize & Decorate Everything blog.
Thanks for the inspiration Leanne.
Oh, I hear you about the weather! We are having the same thing. BUT I watched the weather at noon and they said it would be 70 tomorrow and sunny! Whoa...my sinuses! I'm also working on something springy. I can't wait! I hope we have a string of warm days now. I'm sorry Bella doesn't feel good. Since I've lived alone, my dogs and I are super close. Lola is feeling housebound today and is actually mad that we aren't driving anywhere. Love your little creation! You are so talented! Thanks for sharing! XO
ReplyDeleteThat is a REALLY cute wreath, Judy. I know you would have put your own spin on the original anyway. This weather is awful here, too- wind chills way below zero for the next couple of days. I just hate it!!!!
ReplyDeletePoor Bella. Glad she is on the mend. We just feel helpless when our pets are ill. xo Diana
What a pretty spring decoration you made. I love it!
ReplyDeletePoor Bella. She looks so sad.I love your optimism, Judy and I love your wreath. I have a stack of things waiting to be spray painted. Hurry up warm weather. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteThat is an intricate frame, it would take some painting. I love how it turned out. I also liked all the things in the previous post. Judy, I hope you are looking forward to spring...I am thinking it just can't be much farther away. Hugs to you sweet lady, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteLove your banner and it looks so Springy - you did a wonderful job on it.
ReplyDeleteOh poor Bella, the med were probably to strong for her. Make her some chicken broth and mix it with her feed - she will love that. I always have to make a big batch as the dogs just love it. I get the Swanson's low sodium broth. You know what they say about chicken soup - heals you.
So sorry about your weather - stay warm.
Mary
Love the square spring wreath! Poor puppy...
ReplyDeletewarmly,
deb
I'm so sorry Bella feels bad. She should begin to feel better now. At least I hope so. Give her a hug for me. Our pets are so special to us.
ReplyDeleteCute wreath! It was warm here today but I'm sure we are in for more bad weather! Poor Bella, hugs to both of you.
ReplyDeleteLinda
I don't know about you, but I can't take anymore snow and cold, bitter cold, Love your Spring wreath!
ReplyDeleteThat's really cute. I miss our Michaels. Hobby Lobby took over their space. They used to be right around the corner anyway. I have been spending way too much time there lately.
ReplyDeletePoor Bella. She looks sad. Pumpkin is really good for dogs too. When mine get tummy aches I boil some rice and mix it with pumpkin and they love it.
Just let me know when you want your money. We are getting snowed in again. I have packages here that need mailed, like forever, hah.
Poor little Bella. Glad to hear she is feeling better. Your heart does break for them when they are sick and can't tell you what hurts. Love the wreath very cute. Stay warm while this wacky weather moves through. Let's hope we start to see Spring sometime soon.

ReplyDeleteHi Judy, such a cute wreath for spring. Poor Bella, I hope she feels better soon. We woke to 3 1/2" of snow with a layer of ice under it!! I am sure you got about the same.
ReplyDeleteStay warm and Think Spring!!
Hugs
What a cute spring wreath and poor pooch, you've both been through so much lately. I hope she returns to her old self soon.
ReplyDeleteJust look at those eyes. Who says dogs cannot talk? Hope she is feeling better. The wreath is so cute. We have 4 inches of snow this AM after a night of rain and sleet. Staying in with coffee and a good book. Take care.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the wreath !
ReplyDeleteThat line of ice, sleet and snow came my way. Sorry Bella is under the weather - hope she feels better soon.
My Max has to have yogurt and a probiotic with every meal, he is a bit spoiled but his tummy is happy. Hope your baby feels better.

Cute spring wreath, Judy! It's still bitter cold here but we're in for a warm-up this weekend and then supposedly near 50 by Tues. Can't wait. Bella's no different than humans on antibiotics - they tear up your stomach because they kill the bad bacteria as well as the good. I take a probiotic every day just because they're so good for you and your digestion, but it's even more important to take one when you're on antibiotics. Poor pup - hope she feels better soon!
ReplyDeleteHi Judy, your wreath is adorable, if fact I saw something very much like it today for $25 in a store down town.
ReplyDeleteSee what you saved . . . and homemade is always better :)
Have a wonderful weekend . . . spring will soon be here!
Connie :)
I hope that Bella is doing better. Your wreath is very pretty, I especially like the bird - he is very cheery! xx
ReplyDeletePretty project! I just bought a bunch of that naked wood stuff from Michaels, can't wait to use it. Hope Bella feels better!
ReplyDeleteI love the style of the wreath! Love that it's not round and has a fun spring character! So happy that Bella is feeling better! Sending Hugs! Cindy xoxo
ReplyDeleteNeat spring wreath! And a sad looking pup.
ReplyDeleteLove your spring wreath. Cheered me up seeing it this morning. Hope Bella feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteRosezeeta.
Darling spring wreath, Judy! I hope Bella's feeling better. :o(
ReplyDeletePoor Bella! I hope she feels better soon! Corey (my daughter's dog) apparently swallowed a whole bunch of dirt whilst digging to china and threw up all over my white slipcovered sofa (which he's not supposed to be on anyway)!
ReplyDeleteThat's an adorable project!
